So I’ve been sleeping
At the other end of my bed
To experience a little change.
It’s more comfortable anyways,
And the light and alarm
Are far easier to reach.
But I can’t help but look down
To my feet,
To the other end of the bed,
And wonder why it looks so different.
One end is an end, and they both are an end
So they both are the same.
But before I sleep I feel the change
And I look to the other side
And wonder when I’ll begin to forget
Which side I’ve slept on all along.
So when that day comes
I’ll have to decide;
Will I change back to the same,
Or remain with my change
And stretch to reach the alarm clock
And the light.
